Ok - I know this is an odd question, but have you ever done this...
I put my handmade body butter on my hands, then at some point, I might put my hand in my mouth to get something out of my teeth, bite a nail, whatever. All I end up tasting is the god-awful taste of perfume from the hand butter I just put on. I don't find that this happens if I use commercial lotions or if I have used only essential oils in my handmade lotion.

Does anyone else hate this? Is there a way to use an FO in your lotions that doesn't taste bad? Or is this just me being weird?

Same here. They most taste horrible, but you know what it isn't made to be eaten. Oh well, our crazy habits live on! :D :D

I make a Peaches & Cream scent lotion and as good as it sounds I am not going to taste it. I have never thought about how bad they may taste.

Even commercial lotion tastes bad...I have a bad habit of wiping my mouth after putting lotion on....don't ask...it sounds weird...but I do it a lot! So... I don't think it's odd at all....I think it comes with the territory.

Same here, but sometimes there are accidental tastes. I think every lotion is bound to taste gross be it handmade or commercial, unless it is edible lotion made with flavor oils.
