Hi there!
I was wondering if you could give me some feedback on this recipe please?

I would like to make a non drying soap.

I have the following oils at home at the moment:
Olive oil
sunflower oil
grapeseed oil
sessame oil
coconut oil

Butters
Mango butter
Cocoa butter
Shea butter

Thank you in advance!

What is the purpose of the salt?
At a 9% superfat your lather can be reduced. I would lower the superfat to 3-5% and then go up or down from there.

Some people can’t tolerate more than 15% coconut oil in a soap. I am able to handle 25% in my recipe, but for some reason can’t tolerate it in others.

Recipe looks fine to me. I would probably reduce the superfat too - I don't like more than 5%.

Question - why such odd amounts? ( e.g 27.2 % or 242 grams)

I would probably tweak it into round numbers, and adjust amounts slightly:

Almond oil 20%
Olive Oil 30%
Coconut Oil 20%
Cocoa Butter 10%
Shea Butter 20%

And yes - the salt? Are you making a salt bar? If so, you might want to change your recipe entirely.

Thanks all, I ended up modifying the recipe - the salt was to add hardness to the soap but I just moved around the values and its all good now thanks!!!
