I'm in Queensland in Australia. Over the Christmas break, I made a couple of batches of uncoloured/unfragranced plain straight up and down goats milk soap, using milky way molds. As it happened, the days I soaped were quite warm and the mix took a bit longer to trace.

Anyway, they set ok, then the following day went to the freezer for a couple of hours, then popped out of the molds like well behaved children.

However, within a day or 2, they looked a bit as though they were weeping oil, and then a few days later, the colour was darker than it had been previously. Certainly not chocolate or even caramel coloured, but still not as creamy coloured as many previous successful batches. By the way, the weeping had subsided and disappeared....

Could it be the heat (atmosphere as opposed to batch) had something to do with the result?

I'm surprised your soap took longer to trace with it being hot...it's usually the opposite. Did your soaps gel? Sometimes overheating will make the oils weep out a bit and contribute to a darker color.
