Do I need to include a barcode

I just got my first wholesale account and they asked about barcodes. After doing some research, I found that in order to register for barcode prefixes, it could cost $750. Do I actually need barcodes?

I also wanted to know if I should tax wholesale accounts.

Many large retail stores require barcodes, some smaller places do not - it is up to the retail establishment whether or not it is required.

Here http://www.nationwidebarcode.com/purchase-barcodes/faq/ you will find bar codes explained simply, and tells you how many you need to buy (basically one for every product or variation of the product). So for 10 different types of soap you only need 10 codes.

If they have a resale certificate then no.
