I was trying my best to come up with some twist on spoon swirls for the Great Pain in the Butt Soap Cakes Challenge and I tried this out. I should add that the company is not the Pain part, but this spoon swirl thing is. At any rate, I made this soap using three baby spoons held in a row, dipping it straight into the thinnish batter and then scooping and pulling up the bottom layer. Someone may find a better way to use it or ways to riff off it. I won't be using this soap for the challenge so I thought I'd post it here.

Pics->colors in batter, after the pour and "swirl", topped, and then cut.

I poured the colors in starting with the darkest first and ending with the lightest yellow. You can see the spots where I pulled up. I did the middle one twice because I didn't see red coming up on the first pull.

Some of the bars look an awful lot like Hot Wheels flames. Maybe I should send a bar to them.

Agreed Irish, it does. Newbie, I gotta say, you are a creative little rascal. That looks great.

My ex is a biker, not Harleys though, and he has told me I should send some flame soap to HD, just for fun. Unfortunately, this really does look more like Hot Wheels to me.

If you ever do a video of your method, please message me a link. I would love to see this done!

I actually thought you were entering for a "Great Pain in the Butt Soap Cakes Challenge"... until you clarified. Ha. LOVE the soap by the way! It is absolutely fantastic!

Maybe I will do this again with more contrasting colors to see what it brings. If I do, I will video it so you can see what I mean, godschild, because it is difficult to describe an action. It seems like it could do something more interesting though, this idea, but my head can't quite get there.

I may try just sticking it in from the top and turning it 360 degrees to see what the inside of the soap does.
