I understand what and where and size etc. that have to be on a label. I am specifically labeling a salt scrub. I have been making this for a few years, but recently this christmas I made it for my co workers. One of my coworkers is also a manicurist at a salon. She brought it to work and used it on her clients. Many of them said they liked it better than the commercial product she uses, so she has asked me to make it for her. I have been doing a ton of research and have read the labeling laws twice. What I am not certain of though, is if I am allowed to use a tag, tied to my jars, or if I have to use affixed labels? The regulations mention that a tag is acceptable on a container that is less than 12 square inches, which I plan on using 8 and 16 oz Tuscany style jars, which the labeling area on both would be less than 12 square inches. I want to make sure that everything is right. I appreciate any insight or info. There is alot of great information on this forum!!!!
