Hi can anyone tell me what's the longest I can wait before cutting my soap. I made it on Monday and I am waiting for my new cutter which I think may come Monday. Would it be too long to wait a week before cutting??
Thankyou

All depends on the recipe and how hard the soap is after a week. Your mileage may vary. However I have cut soap after a week and it was fine - but I didn't cut it will a wire cutter.

I'm with Dorymae -- it all depends on the soap and type of cutter.

I can use a blade-type cutter to cut most of my soap batches weeks and even months after they have been made. Wire cutters seem to be less forgiving -- a week-old soap might be too hard to cut properly depending on the recipe. You'll just have to try it and see.

I cannot cut most of my soaps with my wire cutter after a week without popping a wire or two. If it is a multi wire cutter there really is no going back once you start. At least with mine I cannot back it back up

Cmzaha , thankyou. Yes it's a multy wire cutter that cuts the loaf all at once. Exciting !!
