With my essential oil candles I was advised to box them and leave them to cure for a couple of weeks to allow the scents to strengthen and mature. I'm wondering if this practice is also used for essential oil butters, balms and bath products? The reason why I ask is because I have recently been making bath bombs / melts but I'm very disappointed with the fragrance I'm getting from them. For instance tonight I had a bath with a mandarin bath bomb but I couldn't smell anything, the other day I had a bath with a lavender and ylang ylang bath bomb, which I could smell a little, whilst the bath was running but not whilst I was in the bath 10 minutes later. Is it because I'm using them too soon? I made the mandarin one yesterday, should I have left them to cure for a while?

I think that you can use your bath & body products, (except cp soap), as soon as they are hardened. I used my wax melts with essential oil blends, two days after they were made. The scent throw was great. My wax melts were made with soy wax melted with a little beeswax and palm wax.

With Bath Bombs/Melts you can increase your percentage for EO's to 15% since it is going to be further diluted by your bath water...
