cream and lotion base

Hello everyone,

I recently ordered a gallon of paraben free lotion and cream base. I was wondering when adding fragrance,butters,and water will I need to add a preservative to the bases?

Your manufacturer should have provide you with this information.

Usually, if you buy lotion base that needs to be watered down, the manufacturer already accounted for this and added necessary amount of preservative. Just make sure you do not add any more water and/or butters then is recommended by them.

I buy lotion base that is ready to use, I only add FO to it.

Thank you. Maybe I don't need to add water but its really thick. Hopefully when I add the oils it come out okay.
