cpop beer soap?

Inquiring minds want to know. I need to make a batch of beer soap this weekend.

I have HP'ed beer soap in a crock pot, and it works fine, you get a nice dark bar. I just wonder if this would creep out of the mold in the oven because you aren't stirring it down like you do in HP.

I've never cpop'd beer soap but I would think this is exactly what would happen.
But I wouldn't want to do it as I color my beer soaps and it would lose it's coloring due to the darkening up.
Good luck if you try it. Maybe someone with some experience will come along and let you know how it worked for them.

I'm curious, why do you want to do this?

It is highly likely that the soap will gel completely without the help of the oven and might not even require insulation depending on your methods and recipe. CPOP will likely result in overheating and a separated mess.

I just plain CP my beer soap, life is good, with the exception of less beer to drink.

I freeze my beer soaps for a couple hours so they don't overheat & then cpop them overnight. I haven't had any problems that way (knock on wood).

Just curious to try the method, that's all! I have my recipe planned for this weekend's soaping and thought that I hadn't gone down the CPOP road yet!

I wonder if bringing the oven to warm and then letting it sit overnight with the light on is enough? My oven stays plenty warm when just the light is on.

Well, I turn on my oven to 170, turn on my oven light, put my soap in. After a couple minutes I turn the oven off.

The soap gels & is nice and easy to remove the next afternoon.

I think my collection of ugly soaps is too big to warrant me experimenting with this recipe and CPOP this weekend. I'll hold off for a plain soap to CPOP!

Beer soap is one of my favorites! I love the creamy bubbles we get with the beer. I always make beer soap CPOP and never had an accident. I think the trick is to use the beer completelly flat. Use it as a liquid in a CP soap and as soon as it is molded I put it in the pre-heated oven (170F) for 2 hours, turn off the oven and leave it in there all night. Next day, around mid morning, I unmolded and cut it, put it to rest for 2 to 3 days before use it. If I'm making new recipe, I try the soap the same day I cut it.

For those who never make a soap beer, try it... you will love it!!
