Hi everyone! I am new with this soap making thing and I'd like to get a simple recipe using olive oil , Palm oil and coconut .. I don't care about the order .. If anyone can help me please

Maybe:

20% Coconut
30% Olive
50% Palm

If you have a lot more olive than palm, you can shift those. And if you let us know what you're going to do, and the amounts involved, we can check your lye math for you.

^What MorpheusPA said!

Just don't use more than 20% Coconut Oil. More Coconut Oil than that, and the soap can be very drying.

Do use at least 5% superfat.

ETA-If you can get Castor Oil(check your local pharmacies), just 5% of that adds lots of good stability to your bubbles. If you can get it, use 25% Olive Oil, and 5% Castor Oil with the 20% Coconut and 50% Palm.

You've got the holy trinity there, perfect for making a great bar of soap. Why not take them to Soap Calc, fool around with the proportions until you come up with something that looks good to you? That way, you'll also learn to use a lye calculator, something every soapmaker should be familiar with. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I would also recommend no color or fragrance for the first batch. Good luck!

A very good point. As a certain lady here is prone to asking, what are your initial thoughts and why? The 'why' is very important - it is not that helpful having a recipe with out knowing why certain things are at a certain %. I would also suggest looking back through the older posts in this section, as well as the CP and the two recipe sections for anything about feedback or suggestions on recipes. These tend to have a lot of discussion around that 'why' question which will quickly give you the knowledge to start tweaking your recipes.

It helps to see what each oil brings to the party - check a site like this one.

Then play around on soapcalc.net , keeping a few things in mind (like too much CO can be drying, the more OO the more cure time it might need etc). I also prefer the gentleness of olive oil over palm oil, so I would probably swap the two - but you really do want to decide on a framework and play around within it :)

When I started I found the lye calculator at soapcalc.net a bit confusing, and I found this one thats quite a bit simpler and might get you in the swing of things: http://naturalsoapboutique.com/soapcalculator/

Id Love to use the different types of oil you guys use but in my country (Venezuela) we are dealing with economic troubles.. It is very hard to find anything (including toilet paper) :(
Thanks to our government .. But that's not the point. The thing is that I only have acces to OLIVE OIL and Coconut oil .. (I found out that Palm oil is out of the market too ) so I'm trying to do an acceptable soap with this two ingredients.. :/

When I started I made some nice basic soaps with 70% olive oil, 30% coconut. Just bump the superfat up to around 8% and a good cure.

Pure olive oil makes a lovely soap, just cure it a good long while (for 4 months to a year in my opinion)

And I hear that pure coconut oil makes a very nice soap at 20% superfat. Or add 50-80% of the oil weight as salt, keep the superfat at 20% and you'll have a nice salt bar. Or try 85% coconut & 15 % olive oil.

Can you find lard anywhere?
