I tried searching the forums and google.

When I was looking into buying oils I saw sweet almond oil and cosmetic grade sweet almond oil. Is there a difference? Different uses?

Thanks

I have found quite a difference in food grade and cosmetic grade.

Food grade is usually more expensive.

Food grade oftentimes means that you can also eat the product. Not all the time, depends on what the oil is; for ex: food grade Lye is NOT edible.

Food grade is usually unrefined and it is quite evident just by looking at the product. I usually prefer food grade oils.

Cosmetic grade is strictly for products. It is not edible Cosmetic grade is usually refined and less expensive.

Anyone else want to chime in?

Thanks. I called Columbus Foods about this. Left a message and no one got back to me. I will probably get a call monday.

That is odd you could not get him on the phone. He always answers.

I called and got transfered to the soapers. Got a females voicemail. I really paid no attention to who I left the message with lol. I called late in the day so maybe people were leaving for the day. If no call by monday noon. I will just call again.

I just order everything I wanted from columbusfoods.com today anyway.
