Well, it at least smells good! I shredding part of my "Sweet Dreams" soap from the song from the year you were born challenge and incorporated it into a new batch of soap which I attempted to turn purple with alkanet root powder....but wasn't exactly successful. It looked much more brown yesterday, but now it's more gray in color. I also added "day at the spa" FO from Candle Science (the one I wasn't wild about oob, but now either because I shredded my lavender chamomile into it or the scent morphed in the soap, I really do like the fragrance! I hope that the color will morph a bit more as it cures!

The second picture is the new soap next to my sweet dreams soap. Also, have I ever mentioned that I do not know anything about digital media??? Sorry for the bad photos!

It's not that bad Liz, it looks kind of like an oatmeal soap. If anything, you can rebatch this one too, lol. What is the yellow one?

I am using alkanet powder in my lavender peppermint batch that I am making next week. So with that being said, did you think that my lavender/peppermint EO will morph the color? I was hoping to color the rest of the soap with white kaolin clay. I may be against the forces here lol! I have heard of alkanet morphing colors as it cures. Your soaps still look great! ;)

They look good to me! The "day at the spa" scent sounds like it would go well with a grey color anyway, but maybe it will change. Let us know if it does. :)

Ahhh I have never added the Alkanet root powder I just infuse my OO with it and then strain it out. I did not know you could leave it in there. I think your soap is beautiful.

I like them.....I know nothing about natural colourants, but from what I've read it may just need to cure a bit to go back to the right colour! :)
