So I really feel like I need to rebatch, or at least confetti, the first batch of soap I made this year. I'm just not confident in how it turned out, especially for my nieces! Part of the batch wept what I think was lye-water (it was piped and as the pooled liquid dried, it formed a crust), and the parts that stayed together... well, the crumbled as I took them out of the mold. :(

I'm thinking I'm okay just grating and using as confetti soap for my nieces, but what scent to put in the new batch of soap? This soap is for my nieces and while I love the scent I originally used (NGC's "Pretty Kitty"), I'm afraid of it misbehaving again! (It super-fast-accelerated a batch of CP whipped soap, and you can't soap any cooler than that!)

NGC describes it as "An invigorating blend of island fresh kiwi, ripe strawberry, sun-kissed peach, Anjou pear and spring flowers that is sure to please even the fanciest of felines."

What of my better-behaved fragrances would go well with it, especially for young kids? From NGC I have a bit of their fruity cereal FO, strawberry FO, and a bit of their dupe of Matrix Biolage. And from WSP I have their dupe of Love Spell and then the litsea cubeba and orange EOs that I used in my two most-recent batches of soap. I have a few other FOs but they're either already spoken for and/or not really what I would think of as "kiddie" soap scents (ocean-y rain-y scents).

I would pick something fruity, probably the strawberry. You can take a toothpick, dip it in each of the FO's you want to use and put them in a baggie together. After 30 minutes or so check the smell.

I would think your Love Spell would work well with the Kitty scent. Not necessarily complimentary but since they are along the same lines, they should blend fairly well.
