Okay, I know I've been all over these forums today, and I have to say a MAJOR thank you to all who have read and responded! :D

My question for now is how do you figure out how much oils/butters/EOs to add to your soap? I'm getting conflicting reports on what I'm actually trying to do right now. I guess I'm doing M&P soap, since the base I want to use says it's M&P, but it's not glycerin based (it's GM soap), so I might be hand milling... either way, I want to add my own "extras" to the base, but I don't know how to figure out the ratios. I know there's the SoapCalc for CP soap, but I don't know how to figure out the amounts for M&P (or hand milling or rebatching or whatever :D).

I need some help, lol!

Click on the above link - here are some books people have suggested. You might be able to borrow these from your library or buy them online to help you as a reference guide to some of your questions.

Sorry I don't do M & P so can't help with that.

General rule of thumb is 1 TBS Total of any oils or butters added to 1 lb. of MP base. And it's also called glycerin soap as there is glycerin in it.

Thanks! I will check that link out :)

That explains a lot about M&P! I think that's what was confusing me.
