I want to make some Hunters soap and use Anise F/O. I'd like to color the soap black, If I use charcoal to color the soap will this absorb the Anise and neutralize the F/O?

thanx

I use Anise eo for mine as well as charcoal for colouring, and I can tell you, it smells pretty strong...!

The charcoal will not affect the scent.

Be careful with how much you use or you may get gray or black suds.

I make a fisherman s soap scented with anise EO. I swirl mine with black oxide. Turns out great.

Anise is supposed to mask body odour, making it easier to get close to game. My stalking pal tells me anise is also used in mineral blocks to attract deer, so the scent may actually bring game towards the person that uses the soap... okay, that may be a little far fetched... but it's worth a punt!

I also make a kitchen soap with anise EO in it. The anise get rid of ugly kitchen odors you may get on your hands from things like fish, onions, garlic. It works great!
