Hello there, is it possible to add extra glycerine in cold process soap?

greetings
I wouldn’t recommend it. It can Make the soap soft and sticky especially in humidity. Glycerin is a byproduct of the soap making process so your soap will contain glycerin at around 8-10% from what I have learned from reading up on it here.

ah like that, so it becomes more sticky. The reason for asking is: I saw a video on the tube of someone creating hot process soap with glycerine. The translucent aesthetic look, made me wanna make this too.

greetings

Glycerine is a natural by product of handmade soap. There's no reason to add more. It will cause more issues than it's worth. What they were probably making is MP type soap that's more translucent.

Adding glycerin to regular NaOH soap will make the soap translucent if you add enough, but the soap will become rubbery and sticky as well.

Glycerin is one of the solvents used to make "transparent" or melt-and-pour NaOH soap, but it's almost always combined with other solvents to get the best results for the fewest problems.

If you want a truly transparent soap, try making KOH (liquid) soap. You don't have to use glycerin to make clear KOH soap despite the impression you got from that video. Plain distilled water works fine too. The soap is clear if the correct fats are used.

"...is there a way you can make Translucent soap In cold process technique? ..."

Not that I know of, but I'm no expert on this so I'm not the best person to ask. It's my understanding the solvents (glycerin, glycols, sugar syrup, alcohols, etc) are usually added to NaOH soap in a modified type of hot process method.
