ok, it is getting hard and looks good, do i shave off ashy outside? I used a whole bottle 1 oz of fragrance and it doesnt smell much, is that enough? it made 10 good size bars.
It was natures garden fragrance, brambleberry seems to be stronger.
 
Congratulations! Make sure you take lots of pictures!

If the ash bothers you try to clean it up with a soft cloth dipped in isopropyl alcohol, but wait until it's finished curing, or you can just shave it off.

How much oil did you use? A good rule of thumb for most fragrances is .7 oz per lb. of oil.

i used 1 oz, for about 2lbs, shouldnt that be enough?
 
that should be great, a little light, but I prefer a lighter scent. :D
 
Yay! Congratulations!!! I had ash on a top green layer of a soap I made so I just brushed on some pretty mica and no one knew the difference! Pics pretty please? :wink:
