I make a kitchen coffee soap to get rid of cooking odors like fish and garlic on hands. I brew doublestrength coffee for my total liquid. I use a fragrance, Aromahaven's Irish Mocha, (chocolatey-coffee scent) and I do add fresh coffee grounds for scrubbies. I think I use a couple teaspoons per pound of oils (add at at least medium trace so they don't all sink to the bottom.)
It's quite popular, the coffee liquid and the fragrance turn it a deep rich coffee/chocolate color. It can have a slight brownish tinge to the lather, but no one complains because it works so well to get the odors off the hands. HTH!!
