I just got my order in and I was looking at the stuff and the Cocoa butter is really hard. My question is that the way Cocoa butter is or is there something wrong with it? It is the Unrefined stuff.

Cocoa butter is hard! Solid as a rock, well close anyway. It is just fine. Just go buy yourself a chisel

I really like cocoa butter. I don't use it as often as I should, but i have used it straight on my skin and just love how it feels! Also, I have used it in soap (bastille), and I do like what it does to the soap, as well.

I was thinking about adding it and some shea butter to my soaps not that they are drying I just want to try it. I was thinking 1TBSP PPO. Not sure if that the right amount  .

In my basic soap recipe, I use more shea than that. Also, in my bastille, I use more cocoa than that. A lot of people think that the butters are a waste in soap. I personally like them. You will only know what you like if you try it. I have not used both shea and cocoa in soap together, however. Remember though, if you do CP soap, just include it with your other oils as the lye will take care of all unsaponifiables in CP.

I am addicted to cocoa butter. Any soaps with cocoa better in it sells like crazy for me. I hope that you have fun with it!
