Hi, I made a test batch of cream(solid lotion might be a better term) that for me has worked great. I was wondering if it would require a preservative if it doesn't have any water in it?

1/2 cup coconut oil
2 oz beeswax
2 tablespoons cornstarch (to help with greasiness)

I have been using it for more than a month without any rancidity or anything. It has done wonders for my heels as well as anywhere else I used it.

Tell me what you guys think. Do I need a preservative? I was thinking after tweaking it a bit more I might package it to sell.

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the input guys. I haven't had to refrigerate the one I have been using at all and it has remained good right to the very botton with no seperation or becomeing "soupy".
