CO soap 0% superfat

I am Making CP laundry soap bars, and been waiting a week for them to dry so i can grind them up. I slice into them and they don't seem so brittle as I expected. I made them @ 0% super fat w/ 100% coco nut oil . What happened?

I just made 100% lard soap for the same purpose. I haven't done anything with them yet, this is the first time I've tried this. Have you made this type before for laundry? I chose lard as that was what I had seen mentioned somewhere as a good soap to use. I would have thought 100% CO would result in a very hard bar.

It is very hard, just not dry on the inside when i cut it. how long do i wait for cure?

The usual rule I follow is waiting 3-6 weeks for cure.

1 week is usually not enough

I waited about two days to unmold and cut, and that was way too long. They crumbled at the bottom of the cuts, because it was too hard. Your's should harden up pretty quickly, just give it about a month and then go at it. Also, strong fragrances come through in the wash very well when added to this soap and not the final product.
