Cloud in Tub

Why does my soap leave a clould of something in the bath? Is it the oils? Is it because its homemade?

It very well could be the glycerin content that is in the soaps. What is your % of superfat? it could be that as well.

Do you have hard water? Natural soap will leave water cloudy if there's a lot of minerals present.

hmmmm....I only use coconut oil, olive oil, palm oil and castor oil....

I have noticed since using handmade soap that I get scum build up much quicker now. :roll:

I spritz the shower bottom and walls with vinegar after showering and it makes cleaning much easier and no more frequent than before. Years ago I read to polish the shower/tub doors with car polish. I have been doing that ever since and the water beads just like on a car and runs off leaving no streaks. About 3-4 times a year, I wash really well and re-apply the wax, then buff off.

what do you mean a cloud? you mean make the water cloudy in the bath?
or leave a film on the side of the tub when you are done?

Oh yes, a cloud in the water. So, yes...it leaves cloudy water. Not on the tub. Is it just the oils coming out?
