If you use soapcalc, what does value of 5 on cleansing really mean?

I have a small amount of coconut oil left and no access to other cleansing oils (PKO or Babbassu, or whatever else is out there). All other oils have 0 cleansing values.

I want to use approx 55% olive, 40% palm and 5% coconut (superfatting with shea butter).

any thoughts appreciated.

yea - it's soap!

don't think of it as 'cleansing', but rather as 'stripping' or 'drying'. 100% olive oil soap has a cleansing value of zero, yet it cleans - gently.

You could make a smaller batch and plug how much coconut oil you actually have into a lye calculator with your other ingredients.
I used to do that when I didnt know how to press the Calculate Recipe on Soap Calc.
