Since I have been experiementing I have used a lot of jars, and ended up dumping the recipe since they haven't turned out correctly. Does anyone have an suggestions on what the best way to get the jars squeaky clean again. It seems the jars I try to clean always have residue left in them that are impossible to get out. Any suggestions?

Thanks

PS. I am so glad I found this forum!! :D

Can you run them through the dishwasher?

If not, try wiping them out with a paper towel, hand washing in HOT soapy water, dry, spritz with alcohol, dry with paper towel, and wash again in hot soapy water. Then follow with your usual method of sanitizing. May be overkill, but it may work.

Sometimes when washing up oily utensils, I find putting a spot of dish detergent on my dish rag in addition to the dish water helps. :D
