Citronella Soap..

My friend wanted me to make her some of this for thier summer cottage. I made it 25% CO and 75% OO. It came out the prettiest shade of yellow! I am not sure if it was the Citronella or the oils. I will have to take pictures when I cut it. It was a pleasant surprise!!

I made soap with sweet orange EO once, had my colours already to go, but found I didn't need them after adding the EO, the EO made the soap yellow/orange anyway. I think it's the same for citrus based EO's.
Sounds like lovely soap.

Not meaning to hijack, but you can make it even more golden if you add some butter flavored vegetable shortening to the mix. I discovered that one on an experiment. Made a beautiful golden orange.

to continue Mike's hijack - that's colored with annatto, most likely. easy to get and infuse into your oils. just a touch will get you yellow, more will get you orange. you have to go into an acidic pH to get red, so not for soap!
