For a big bag, put it on a cement floor and put a wood board or a thick towel or mat of some kind on top of the bag. Then pound the heck out of it with a hammer.
If you don't use something between the bag and your hammer, the bag will get holes in it, and spill everything. At least, that's what *a friend* told me happened to her.
