HP-I tried something different with the dye. I watched a youtube video that said to mix the mica with water and keep it warm in the oven and it could be swirled just like CP--I had a real hard time mixing it in. Last time I am going to try that.

I wished the color would have been deeper but I ran out of mica. the smell is amazing.

If dark brown is your goal, CP is a better way to go. Just don't use to much. Cocoa powder can discolor.

the FO is supposed to discolor to dark brown and I am thinking that might be more of a natural looking brown--I didn't use any cocoa

I like it! Is "chocolate indulgence" the name of the FO? It sounds delicious.

yes the FO is called chocolate indulgence and it is amazing smelling/the reviews all said it lasts too

Technically, you have to keep everything you'll be using warm in the oven, not just the micas. The containers, spoons, spatulas, molds. Just helps retain the heat, and keep it from cooling/setting.

That being said, swirling in HP will never be "just" like CP but you can come close. Have you tried yogurt? It helps with fluidity.

I like the soap though, not bad at ll for HP :)

I was going to but forgot it!! next batch I will--I think I read 2 T PPO, is that right? Do you use water in your micas?

Powdered cinnamon can make it a nice brown too.

I did a review on the website and said that I used it in HP and the response was that it could take up to 4 weeks so maybe it will still get dark--I know I made a heart soap with HP that the white discolored after 4 weeks...…………..

It still looks great!

I did a CP coffee water and coffee fragrance soap (specified color change to dark brown). I used fragrance throughout, one part soap with some brown color and two parts of the batch light and lighter with TD. Looked like a cappuccino swirled with cream and a light foam layer on top The color caught up after about 3 weeks. It's black and with a barely noticeable brown swirl and the top of light brown.

I made a coffee/cocoa soap with coffee grounds--it was real dk brown right from the beginning--the bar seemed to be quite a bit harder than other soaps I made. I didn't use anything to scent it other than the cocoa--my DIL really likes it but I just tried it a bit when it was ready and haven't really used it---I can only wash so much hahaha.
your soap sounds pretty!!
I have always been told that HP soaps wont discolor because of FO but...…………………………...
