I bought my six cavity mold from China through ebay and it literally cost me less than $10. It held up nicely for a few batches but now has split down the corner of one of the cavities. Is there a way I can get it stuck back together?

In an attempt to fix it I discovered that duct tape won't stick to silicone. So duct tape doesn't fix everything! Lol

This is just off the top of my head (and working at a marine institute that's always underfunded). Id try silicone adhesive (like for bathroom repairs) OR shoe goo. I say shoe goo because it held my rubber deck boots together for years after they cracked. Otherwise 5200 Marine sealant - but that stuff will outlast your mold (and any boat its used on) and cant be undone, so be careful.

Here's my two cents- I do a lot of mold work with Silicone.

If it cracked, it may NOT be silicone as silicone usually doesn't crack.

You can try using clear silicone 1 caulk from the hardware store (Not silicone 2) first clean the edges with toluene let it dry (Outside, respirator fresh air) then try gluing it with silicone. Let it stay undisturbed for 24 hours.

Ok thank you. I'm mote sure if it cracked or ripped but I also thought it was slightly odd. I just chalked it up to the stress of unmolding over and over.
