Cheap advertising??

Does anyone have any ideas how i can cheaply advertise my business and bring customers to my website? I have my website up and running finally but understand people wont just start flooding in, i need to direct them to it - but how??

Free samples to the right people can help. Look for events in the area that are looking for sponsors and donate some soap to them, even if it's smaller bars. Some places like non-corporate coffee shops will also let you put advertiements in there windows, bulletin board, etc...
 
cultivate a myspace or facebook following...my 265 friends get frequent updates on what I ma doing.
 
Go to a busy roundabout and build a soap castle in the middle. This should draw attention to your soap :)
 
I have to agree with phillysoaps, the whole world is on Facebook, myspace and Twitter. Get on there, find everyone you've EVER known and get them to be your friend, or become a "fan" of your page, update everyday about something new and they will see it, I swear I check my facebook 15 times a day......
