OK, I'm primarily a soap maker, but(t) I'm also a bicyclist. Chamois cream is what they call the stuff you put on your butt when cycling to reduce chafe when you ride on a narrow bike seat for a hundred miles or in my case, less.
(it gets it's name from the leather insert portion of bicycle shorts that traditionally was made from chamois and today is usually fabric covered foam rubber)
Anyway, I thought I'd ask you folks who know a bit about body creams for a recipe.
shea butter, olive oil, and aloe are some of the ingredients I've seen, maybe a touch of beeswax. Chamois cream should last a while, an hour or two, minimum and not irritate the skin or... uh... other parts near the bum. Also it should not stain or otherwise degrade fabrics or foam rubber.
So... braniacs, what do you think?
