I wanted to do a pretty two-color swirl, and found the fabulous Celine swirl online. She is very talented. After some Googling and links, I saw many posters saying it was harder than she made it look, but I found it very easy. The yellowy part of the soap is actually quite white IRL--the light in my kitchen is gnarly.

gnarly! I haven't heard that word in a long time! is that a blast from your past, or is gnarly becoming a popular word again?

That's a wonderful Celine swirl! She would be proud of you!

I will be proud if I can do the same swirl myself

Beautiful soap! You've got some nice looking swirls there, good contrast. I agree, I think the Celine swirl is one of the easier ones to do, and one of the few I've ever had success with. A good place to start for those of us who are swirl challenged.

I am going to have to try this. I watched the youtube vid where she 'named' it. Pretty funny how it stuck, even tho she was just joking.

That is a great looking bar. Congrats. :D

Yes, she makes pretty lousy videos--doesn't tell you what she's doing and just banters with her friend, the videographer. Still, if you watch closely and then check in on a few other people who have tried it, it's super easy even if you're not as accomplished a swirler as she is. I did four layers instead of three because I am seriously trace-challenged. It smells divine and looks good with my new branded stamps. Soaping every day now. By summer I will have a metric butt-ton (yes, that is an official measurement) of soaps ready and cured.
