What can I put in my soap that calls for castor oil....here's the recipe:
Shea Butter 4.2%
Canola Oil 12.5%
Castor Oil 6.2%
Coconut Oil 16.7%
Olive Oil 12.5%
Palm Oil 27.1 %
Rice Bran Oil 8.3%
Crisco/Veg. Shortening 12.5%

what can I put in place of the castor oil ..... I forgot to order some and I am using the last of the castor oil in my salt soap bar.
Or since it's such a small amount can I just do without it??

i 2nd that. you can go up to 30% with coconut oil before it gets too drying

wow thats a lot of oils! you could simplify? just my opinion. oo, co, po, caster makes nice soap. You an get castor at some drug strores in a pinch, or health store.

Sprouts (I don't know if you have one near you) has pretty big bottles of castor (about 32 maybe?) for about $12. I like castor!

... Some people still use it as a diuretic.

Castor oil is taken internally as a laxative. If someone takes it hoping it will stimulate urination, they will notice it has a different effect.

 that's right!
My pharmacist told me they sell it cause it's used very often to make bandaids come off easier. They don't recommand ingesting it anyway.
