I have a 5 lb bar of Castille soap that's been hanging around for a long time and I'm not sure what to do with it. I sell soaps in my shop and I wondered if I could remake this into a scented colored soap? Anyone have any ideas I'd appreciate the input

Thank you,
Granny Jo

You can shred it down and add scent/color. You'll probably have to add some moisture if it's been sitting for awhile.

Just saying...

Recently i went on a shopping spree to find just plain jane
aged castille soap because it's supposed to be a mecca
of greatness. Perhaps slice off a sliver and test it out to see
how awesome it is?

I know many seek out 1 year old Castille .

Is it cold process soap or melt & pour?

If it's CP, then no you can't melt it. If you want to add fragrance then you would have to shred it, add a bit of moisture and heat it up until it's nice and gloppy. Then gloppity glop it into a mold after you add your fragrance.
