I made my first batch of castile soap n I need almost 3 hour to get trace, thats is rigth?

This is my recipe :

500 gram EVOO
60,46 gram NaOH
3,18 gram KOH
165 gram Water

Thank you

With my Coconut Milk Castiles I used to use 8% SF, but got better trace at 4%. Soap lathers well and still nice on the skin.

I agree with the others about using less water and a moderate amount of superfat.

Another thought -- did you stir the soap batter with a whisk or spoon -- or did you use a stick blender (immersion blender)? A stick blender will help a LOT! :)

I did not run the numbers through a soap calc, but I was wondering if you used an immersion blender? Was that three hours by hand? You must be pop-eye!:)

As long as the oils and the lye are mixed together enough (a.k.a liquid emulsion) and there are no visible streaks of oils in your pot, it is perfectly fine to pour into the mold.

IMHO it is a waste of energy and time to try reaching trace in a 100% OO soap.

As far as curing is concerned, from my personal experience your soap should be quite nice after 6 months but WAY better after a year or two :)

Your photo is blurry but it looks okay to me. Have you zap tested it as yet? Also, people have asked questions with no response from you regarding what you are using to blend your soap. Are you using a stick blender?

I used hand mixer, sorry if my respon so slowly, My English is not good, so need long time to arrange sentence.
I have no zap test yet, i plan to use PP to check PH.

PP will not tell you if your soap is safe. You need to zap test it. Testing will only tell you if what the ph is and soap is naturally high PH. It will not tell you if you have active lye. No worries, we are understanding you just fine!
