Can salt and sugar be used in the same cp soap recipe?

Hi everyone,
I’m very new to this and have fallen in love with making soap. I’ve been reading about the benefits of both salt and sugar in CP soap, but find little information about the two being used together. I have tried a few different recipes with various oils and haven’t really had any problems other than a soft bar after 5 weeks curing and soda ash. The ash is expected given my mold type and not being able to get alcohol right now.

Just be sure that the if you add sugar to the water, it is thoroughly dissolved in the water before adding lye.
