Can HP Soap be frozen?

Has anyone tried freezing their hot process soap?

I have just received this question from a friend and can't say I've tried it, yet. Their thoughts are perhaps it would preserve the essential oils.

I'm wondering if it will go mushy afterwards, and if there is any point in doing it.

I often put soap in freezer to prevent gel. Also, due to lack of space, had to store some bars of in an unheated area (during winter). No ill effects noticed, also no mushiness.

I would guess that it preserves both smell and soap nicely.

But when you bring it back to room temperature - condensation may happen. A sealed freezer bag helps and a vacuum device probably even more.
