So, I have yet to buy a soap mould (very new to soaping)... and although I know a lot of things can be used, I wanted advice/feedback on this mould I came across on ebay. I just want to know if others use silicone and their preferences, does this look to be a decent mould, is the mould too big for a first time soaper? (if there is such a thing) Heres the link

I don't know what the exchange rate is between the Lira and the Dollar, so it's difficult to answer. Can you give us an idea of what the current exchange rate is?

It is British pound (£) and to my knowledge the current exchange rate is £1 (Great British pound) = $1.6, or there abouts.

It looks like it have some sort of pattern on the bottom, will you want that on your soaps?

Amy, yes I noticed the pattern on the bottom, which really doesn't bother me. Once I get the hang of this I will probably buy more moulds anyway.

Faru, I've seen that one and have been very tempted, I have it on my watch list so seen as you recommend it, I may go for that one. Thank you.

Rebecca -

I've got a mold like the one Faru posted a link to and I really like it. It's stiff to work with at first but once you've done several batches, it "loosens" up and the soap loafs are easier to get out. That's also not a bad price for it.

I saw this but I couldn't find dimensions on it. You could contact the seller and ask about the size. If it's comparable to the green one, I'd give it a try since it doesn't cost too much.
