Budwing Mantis

Meet Daisy, my Budwing Mantis eating honey from a stick. She is getting old now but she gave us five egg sacks (oothecas). We have hundreds of nymphs now.

My Ghostie whom I have posted pictures of before gave us 3 egg sacks.

Wow, she's big! How old is she, and what does she normally eat? I'm guessing other bugs, not honey, but not really sure.

She likes bottle flies, fluffy wax worms, moths and just about anything that moves. She is just under 8 months old. Some of them actually love honey and the budwings are one that do. It is supposed to be real healthy for them. She will hold the stick and eat off all the honey then drop the stick

Daisy made another egg while I was at market today. This is a pretty sizable one.
