I have been using Grapeseed and Sweet Almond Oil for my massage oil and was wondering should I use something different for my body oil. I had the following oils in mind but I am not sure of how much of each to use for each 8oz bottle:

Olive Oil
Castor Oil
Sweet Almond
Safflower Oil

Any suggestions or ideas? I am having a launch party in the end of September and would like this to be one of my "new" products.

Hi, some friendly advice: I would suggest that you start testing various combinations immediately! A month from now is really too soon to launch a product when you don't know how it will hold up over the long-term. things to think about--the purpose of the body oil...will it be an after-bath type oil, in which case you'd want something lighter, like sweet almond, or a foot/elbow/knee type 'therapy' oil, in which case you'd want something heavier, like olive or castor. Also if you are going to scent this product you need to test under various conditions for several months. Some oils, like sweet almond, may take scent better than others. Olive oil has its own scent that may come through or alter an added scent. Think about how people leave their products out in heat, humidity etc. You don't want your good name associated with a rotten or rancid product as that will definitely impact your future business. Good luck!

How about something LIGHT . I use an oz of rosehip seed oil (great for the skin) an oz of sweet almond, a half oz of vitamin E acetate,a half oz of evening primrose, and I add about 5 drops of pure bulgarian rose oil. 5 drops is all you need that is potent stuff. Sometimes I add afew more EO depending on what I want for skin benifits. I at times have added a tablespoon of OMEGA THREE FISH OIL or FLAX seed OIL because of the wonderful skin benifits. Castor oil to me is very sticky. If you want somthing with a longer lasting SLIP use jojoba oil as it is actually a wax.
