Body butter questions

I am dying to try making a shea body butter and I have 2 questions.

What kind of percentages do you usually use for your FO?

And do any of you add a preservative and if so, what?

Hi Becky

I've attempted to make body butter, and to get the scent you're looking for is trial and error, depending on how strong you want the butter to smell. I've tried 15-20 drops of EO. HTH

I don't scent my body butters at all. I do however scent my "Bum Balm" because I don't like the scent of lanolin and I scented at 0.3% which worked quite nicely.
