Did you do a ITP or ITM swirl for this one ?

Mardi Gras is on my list of names to soap - you know how you get an idea of what they should look like before you do them. Whether they turn out like that is another thing. Lately I've been coming up with names before I soap them.

I am curious too. How did you make your swirls?

Well I had a great idea but I would never do it again with just one person. I did the "in the pot swirl" after watching the tutorial but I did two different pots. My thought was to pour them at the same time like I do with just two colors but I made a four lb batch and the pots were too heavy to pour with one hand. I made such a mess! I wanted a line down the middle with my blue/green swirl on one side and the orange/yellow swirl on the other. You can see this in some of the soaps but the others they mixed b/c I was pouring so fast b/c the pots were so heavy. Funny how things don't always turn out how you invision them in the world of soap making. :D

In this one you can see how I was trying to make the division but I guess the pot with the orange swirl was much heavier b/c i was pouring it faster and it dominates the soap.

I love it! The colours is amazing!

How did you make the blue and yellow curls of soap?

The curls I just made a batch of six colors and poured them thin. While they were still a little soft I used a cheese slicer and cut them length wise then shaped them with my fingers.

I am wondering if I can use M&P next time b/c it would be MUCH easier?
