Black Walnut Powder on scalp/hair

I'm trying to find out if I use black walnut powder or oil mixed into a paste on my scalp 1-2 times per week, will that darken my hair color? I am not trying to dye my hair, by the way.

I'm sure it will color your hair. I would mix it with water to make a paste then apply it like henna.
