big soap day

i made a cream soap - still cooking in the crock pot

coconut milk soap it has turned out nice then tested a recipie that was an example so lots of work today.

I had a huge day after finding a goat farm nearby and buying two litres of milk cheaply. I made four lots of soap ... 2 x plain, one with lavender and one with an oriental FO. All soaped very easily. Now I can't wait until they're cured!

I am so disappoint in my cream soap. It is thicker than I would like and really doesn't lather.

I made Easter soaps with a silicone easter egg shaped mold, they are light pink and I used Cotton Candy FO so far they look good except some have areas where the soap globbed into the mold and left holes but I'm happy with them.

I made a cp called " tobacco caramel" by ng, I added some orange to main batter( not much) then did some orange textured swirls on top. I cant wait to get home and cut it.

Padamae, I'm taking it from your post about disappointing lather that you did not allow your cream soap to rot? I'm not sure if your idea of cream soap is the same as mine, but the kind I'm thinking of has to rot (mine 'rots' or cures in a closed container) for several weeks and be diluted and re-whipped before using. HTH

You are right I has not let it rot yet I was so excited I still tried it. It is sitting now. But it got kinda hard not like a bar but like a soft silicone.
