I unmoulded my disaster batch this morning to find out I saved it!

Long story short the day before yesterday I made my regular shampoo bar recipe but wanted to try a new fragrance - white sage from Saffire Blue.

Well after the close call with their eucalyptus spearmint I decided to put the fragrance in the oils first mix that and add the lye slowly.

The second I started pouring - instant mashed potato. My first full-on total seizure. Didn't even get a chance to stir. I stuck it on the stove and cooked it for 90 minutes adding water regularly to make it somewhat pourable. It was still pretty darn thick when I spooned it onto the mould.

Looking at it now I would never know what a nightmare it was. Giant sigh of relief I don't have oils to waste.

Really can't smell the fragrance but I sure can smell sage powder!

Even the minibars look ok!

Is this one batch with a portion colored? How did you get the colored shape at the top? It looks very nice.

I tilted it from end to end a few times to see what shape it would make. :)
