Well, I made a really silly mistake and I should have known better. I was making a 4-5 lb batch of cold process soap with cucumber puree. I had measured out all my oils and cucumber etc and then when i went to measure the lye I realized I was 1 oz short of the recipe. I went ahead and mixed everything together without adjusting the amount of oils and water etc. My soap was in the mold for two days and this morning I took it out. It looks okay but is rather soft.
My question is will it harden over time while it is curing?

Show us your complete recipe including the amount of water you used and the amount of puree. That will give us a better idea.

Hmmm - well that's about a 15% lye discount. If it hadn't had the castor in there I'd say definitely it'll be fine, but with the castor I'll say PROBABLY it'll harden up fine. Olive takes a while to reach peak hardness, and your other oils (with the exception of the castor) are good and hard so I don't think it'll be an issue after a few weeks.

Thanks Carebear! I hope you are right. I'm going to try it again done correctly this time, haha. I love the color so far - I put in some grated cucumber peel and I love the way it looks.
