Ok I have been meaning to post this for a while.

I am a major soap nerd (GF joke), this is said as I had a wonderful X-mass.

From My GF I received a Shrinkwrap system, Palm oil, Jojoba oil, Lye, Sweet almond oil, and a number of soaps from Etsy.

The real kicker is the photo below.

Last January my family lost my mother. She did pass in her sleep as she had hoped she would. We did have her for an extra 11 1/2 years after she suffered congenital heart failure, so we were blessed. At her funeral each of her six children took some time and spoke and durring my speach I used teh following quote from Cheif Seattle "This we know: the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood that unites us all. Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself. " My speach touched my brother Mike and he asked his Wife Glenda (an artist) to paint a picture bassed on my speach, she began it in april, but my brother broke his leg and she did not get aot of work done on it. Over the next few months se did get a little work done, but in July My brother was diagonesed with cancer and we lost him in september. After the funeral Glenda finished the Painting and I received it with a letter from her explaining the story I just related. The paining is easily 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide. It is an amazing piece of artwork, and I will treasure it always.

Hello Roy - hadn't heard from you in a little while. That is one of the most moving paintings I have ever seen.....your SIL has captured exactly what you said, even to the shadow of the woman reflected against the background web of life, which to me shows our fundamental inter-connection.

Thank you for sharing this with us here, and thank you for your beautiful words.

Tanya :)

Roy, I am so sorry for your losses - and thank you for sharing the picture and the story that goes with it. I love the spiritual feeling that this painting portrays and by having Eagle & Wolf it truly demonstrates that connectedness....
