Best way to package body butters

I'm wanting to test the waters with some body butters. the Q is will it be safe to package in metal tins or should I get some plastic jars. I'm in the testing process now.

That will depend on what the tins are made of & what the butters are made of. You could get rust. I did some shea & oil body butters in aluminum tins & they were fine- no water content. The metal will increase the temp though & could cause them to melt in warmer seasons.

Thanks for your response. They will have water in them so I better stick to PET plastic. better safe than sorry.
