What is a good stable liquid oil that would be good in lotion bars? I have used olive and it had a not so great smell.

How about sweet almond oil. After seeing the prices on the jojoba I think it would be too expensive.

FCO is pretty good to use too.. Doesn't bring as much to the table property wise as jojoba, but it's a nice (inexpensive) drier oil.

I forgot to add this would be for a coconut free lotion bar, for those with coconut sensitivities.

I like a mix of avocado, sesame, and sweet almond. This makes a nice blend of light-to-medium weight oils that have dry-to-more emollient feels. Makes a nice glid-y bar that is moisturizing without being too dry or greasy. HTH!

Apricot kernal oil is supposed to have much the same qualities as sweet almond oil, I used it in my lotion bars and I really like it.

Of course I used it along with the jojoba oil (which I purchased before the price skyrocketed)
