Does anyone know the SAP values for bayberry wax? Or what its fatty acid percentages are? I just can't find anything on the net!

I don't know. I was just hoping to be able to use a tallow-like fat that I could grow myself, rather than using coconut or palm oil. I live in Indiana, so there's no chance of growing coconuts or palm nuts.

My business model (and no, I'm not in business yet) is to only use vegetable fats that have been grown on our farm. But if I can't find a tallow-type fat that I can grow in Indiana, then that model kind of goes out the window.

I think your idea is great, and I hope bayberry or another plant will provide the right fatty acids for this!

Whereabouts are you in Indiana? I'm up in the NW corner.
